Ordering & Discounts

Ordering is easy, by mail, phone, fax or email. Phoned, faxed or emailed orders must be accompanied by the appropriate Credit or Debit card details. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Maestro, Delta, Switch, Solo and JCB (give your card details to us by phone to make your emailed orders secure). UK customers can also pay by cheque or postal order sent with their order. Overseas orders must be paid by an appropriate credit card.

If you wish you can also lodge your card details with us by post then order whenever you like. Just tell us your name, address, card details (number, name on card, expiry date, name of issuing bank plus valid from date and issue number if there is one for Maestro/Switch/Solo) and confirm that you are the card holder at the same address, that you would like us to use this card for your orders until further notice and add your signature. At any time you can ask for this to be returned to you or shredded. We may contact you for confirmation or for the security number (last 3 digits on the signiture strip) when processing your order.

Any items out of stock will normally be placed on backorder and dispatched as soon as possible. If paid by cheque or postal order these will show as a credit on the invoice until dispatched. You can cancel or add to backorders at anytime.

Any amounts overpaid by cheque or postal order will be held as credits towards your next order unless requested as a refund.
Occasionally substitutes of similar, or greater, quality and value may be sent when an ordered item has been discontinued or will be out of stock for a long time. If you do not wish to receive any substitutes please tell us when ordering.
Credit/Debit cards will not be charged until we are sending out the goods, except for woven labels which are made to the customers specification.

There is no minimum order, but a handling charge of 95p is made on orders under £25.
In addition to any other offers, we give 5% discount on any order over £100.

A detailed printed invoice will be enclosed with each order, together with a new order form, and also a printed catalogue if you have not already been sent one.

Delivery Times & Charges

Postage of orders is free to all UK addresses, including BFPO.
Overseas customers will be charged airmail postage including any necessary compensation charge at cost. If you wish to know the exact cost we will email you just prior to dispatch when the parcel has been weighed.

Delivery time from our receipt of your order is approximately 7 working days (ie not weekends or bank holidays). Often it will be quicker than this, but please allow sufficient time when ordering, especially if you are ordering by post. We use the most economical standard Post Office services, and parcels over 1kg may take a little longer. At busy times such as Christmas and the issue of a new catalogue delivery times may be extended.
We can sometimes arrange faster delivery for urgent orders, but any extra postage costs incurred are payable by the customer.

Trade and Institutional Customers

We do not currently supply goods at wholesale prices. Quantity discounts on certain products may be available and will be quoted for individually. Usually this will be subject to a minimum order value of £50.
On rare occasions we allow credit to institutional customers. Free postage does not apply to these orders, and a minimum order value will be required.

Return of Goods

If you have any queries regarding your order please contact us as soon as possible after receipt, no later than a fortnight. Full refund, credit or exchange will be given for faulty goods. Postage costs for faulty goods will be refunded at the most economical rate only.

Our no quibble guarantee applies for 16 days after you receive the goods. Ideally they should be received by us within 16 days, but if not you must have contacted us by post, fax or email (a phone call is inadequate) within 7 working days, of receiving the goods to say that you are returning them.
You will have to pay the return cost and the product must not be used. It must arrive back in resaleable condition, therefore careful attention should be paid to the packing. We are not responsible for any loss or damage in transit, so please ensure you arrange sufficient compensation cover with the carrier. No refund or credit will be given until the goods are received and examined. Please ensure that the correct postage is attached to return parcels, we will not accept delivery of any post with charges attached.

If you are returning an item which has been sent to you as a substitute without agreeing it with you first, then we will refund your postage costs for this item (at the most economical rate only).
Please tell us whether you would prefer a refund, a credit on your account with us or exchange. If you do not specify which, then the amount will automatically be held as a credit. Please remember to include your name address and customer number in the parcel.

Woven labels which are made to the customers specification are non returnable.
Goods returned which do not comply with the above conditions will be sent back to the customer.

These conditions comply with and exceed the statutory rights under the distance selling regulations. Basically the aim is to allow the same rights to examine the goods as if you were purchasing from a shop, and to protect us from customers using or damaging products before returning them.

Descriptions

All our product sizes and measurements are approximate, but we do try to make sure they are as accurate as possible. Information in the downloadable and printed catalogues is correct (errors and omissions excepted) as at the time the printed version went to print. Product and/or price changes may occur during the life of these catalogues, and we reserve the right to alter price or specifications without notice as circumstances dictate. Seasonal products are the most likely to be affected. Price changes during the life of our catalogues are, however, extremely rare.

Wherever mentioned in the catalogues, supplements, leaflets or on this web site, the words gold, silver, copper, emerald and other metals and precious stones refer to the colour unless otherwise stated.

Illustrations are not to scale

No product, such as craft knives, where the sale must comply with the Offensive Weapons Act 1996, will be sold to anyone we suspect may be under 16 years of age.

Please be sure to thoroughly read the instructions for all products, paying particular attention to all cautions and warnings shown to ensure the proper and safe use of the product. Many products contain small items and are not suitable for children under 3 years.

The information found in each part of our web site, and our printed and downloadable catalogues and leaflets, regarding products and their use is presented in good faith but no warranty is given, nor results guaranteed.
